  • Bacterial infection
  • Usually found in women who are using tampons
  • Important to change tampons frequently to avoid infection
  • Symptoms include: sudden high fever, rash, vomiting, diarrhea and dizziness
  • Can be life threatening

  • Detected by a pap test

  • Detected by self exam and mammogram
  • Mammograms begin around age 40 unless there is family history with breast cancer.
