  2. INTRODUCTION • Transferring of Data (Audio and Video) from one location to another location using network (Internet or Intranet) is known as webcasting. • Webcasting is used for monitor more locations at a time, such as polling process for free and fair voting.

  3. Web cameras for webcasting • Web cameras for webcasting of Polling Station (PS) are issued to ROs of each constituency. • ROs should issue the web camera to Presiding Officer (PrO) along with the polling material. • It is the responsibility of PrO to fix the camera in polling station. The camera should be fixed in such a place where the entire PS is visible except the voter compartments. • The camera should be connected to the laptop of the student conducting webcast. • Internet connection will be provided through data cards provided by BSNL.

  4. Duties of webcasting student • Each constituency is assigned with the number of students with respect to number of PS feasible for webcasting. • ROs will allot 1 PS to each student for webcasting. • The student volunteer should report in distribution & reception center on 29th April 2014 by 4:00 PM. • The student volunteer is assigned to PrO of the PS & ASO of the polling location. • The student should download the software for webcasting from www.ghmc.gov.in • Live streaming of PS should start from 6:00 AM until the end of poll. • The student should send SMS every half an hour about the number of votes polled and number of persons in queue and other information in the given format.

  5. FORMATS FOR SMS • All the webcasting executives should send the following information as per the schedule shown below to 9177999876 ( pl save this number in your mobile immediately). • The messages should only be sent from mobile number registered with this office. • Webcasting executives should register themselves by sending SMS to 9177999876 on 29-4-2014 by sending sms as REG<Space><AC Number><Space><PS Number>. • For any clarifications please call to 8186947456. 9177999876 P 55 Q 15
