  1. 12 October, 1492 Dearest Family, It was horrible. It felt like I was on that ship for a year . I couldn't sleep. I used all my strength. I almost passed out some times. I sailed on Nina. The captain on Nina was VincentPinzon. I was so happy to see land on Friday October, 12 1492. We were so tired and happy. The island was flat and full of trees and there was a large lagoon and no mountains. The Tainosdid not speak our language. They did not have any clothes. Instead they colored them selves. They were kind and nice. We traded red capes, and glass beads. We tried to find gold , but there was none so we left on 13 October,1492 Sincerely, Connor
