The Impact of Supplemental Instruction on Underrepresented Minority Students

This study examines the impact of Supplemental Instruction (SI) courses on underrepresented minority students in challenging subjects. SI focuses on difficult courses and provides supplemental material, peer facilitators, and cooperative learning opportunities to enhance learning outcomes. The program is available to all students in the supported class and emphasizes embedded study and learning skills. This research aims to explore how SI can support underrepresented minority students in their academic success.
