  3. BETA Cards • Directions: • 1. Mark the squares as you complete them. • 2. You must complete 18 squares • 3. Return to Mrs. Owens upon completion. • 6th grade – due March 26 • 7th/8th grade – due March 28

  4. CARES CASH Cart • Find out what day your cart is on duty (morning area) • Ask a teacher if you can work the cart. You need to work the cart for 2 days. • Get teacher signature (2 signatures – can be from the same teacher)

  5. Homework/Classwork • Must be in all classes • Must get all teacher signatures

  6. Job Application and Interview • Think about your future job(s) • Ask for an application/can have an adult help you • Set up an interview with the job – many businesses will help you • Complete the application and turn in a reflection after the interview. What type of ?s did they ask? How did you feel? What did you wear? Do you think you got the job? What will you do different next time? How did you prepare?

  7. Dances • Valentine Dance – Feb. 8th 3-5:30 • Spring Dance – April 12th • 8th grade Dance – May 17th

  9. No Zero Zone, Friday School, Saturday School • No Zero Zone – Wednesdays 3-4 • Friday School – 3-4:30 • Saturday School – 8-10

  11. Smart Board/Power Point Lesson/Website • SMART Board Lesson – Must stay after school – SMART board is only on teacher computers • **Link your lesson/Power Point/website to a unit you already studied, one you are studying now, or one you will study in the future.

  12. Valentine Cards • What: Hearts for kids • Who: Creating Valentines for kids in the hospital • When: February 5th 3-4:30 • Where: TBD • Why: To help bring a smile to a kid’s face who needs a little encouragement

  13. Operation School Dance • Feb. 8 • April 12 • May 17 • Help set up before the dance, serve snacks/goodies during the dance, and clean up after the dance

  14. Clean Sweep • What: Clean Sweep • Who: YOU! • When: March 2nd – 8am-10am • Where: Meet at the front of the school • Why: Take PRIDE in our school and BEAUTIFY it!

  15. CPM Alumni • What: Find a person who is a CPM alumni and have them complete the form • Who: You and the alumni • When: You have until March 26/March 28 • Where: Anywhere • Why: Celebrate our school spirit and see how successful those alumnus are now! • For more information: contact the media specialists

Sign Up Sheets • Will be posted on the outside of Mrs. Owens’ door (door across from Ms. Miller’s room) • Announcement will be made prior to taking down the sign up sheets and reminders will be sent out. • Sign up with permission (preferably before and after school to minimize class disruptions)

  17. Ceremony Information • Estimated date/time: Thursday, Feb 21@6pm • Rehearsal will be Tuesday, Feb 19 from 3-4:30 • More information will be given at the Feb 7th meeting

  18. Next meeting dates • Feb 7th – 6th, 7th, and 8th grades • – check grades/review ceremony • - introduce officers  • March 26 – 6th grade • March 28 – 7th/8th • Bring BETA cards to the March meeting
