  1. Beta Club MeetingMarch 1, 2011 Please have a seat at a table. Take down the chairs so that others can see. You can leave them down when you leave. Pass your attendance pages to the back of your table. Leigh Anne T will be signing your attendance during the meeting. Be sure that your name is on the page.

  2. Communication • JOIN THE FACEBOOK GROUP. SEARCH HHS BETA CLUB. If you feel like you don’t really know what’s going on with the club, then this group can help! 2. WRITE DOWN THE BLOG ADDRESS, AND CHECK IT WEEKLY. BLOGS.HARRISONHIGH.ORG/BETA_CLUB New service opportunities that come up between meetings are advertised on the blog and Facebook.

  5. ATTENDANCE SHEETS • IF YOU FORGOT YOUR ATTENDANCE SHEET, SEE LEIGH ANNE TUCK AFTER THE MEETING TO SIGN IN. • YOU’LL HAVE TO BRING YOUR SHEET TO MRS. TARVIN’S ROOM TO GET OFFICIAL ATTENDANCE CREDIT.

  6. Service Opportunities • KRISPY KREME DONUT SALES: Meet at 7:45 am outside of Admin II. • Earn 1/2 hour of credit. • Seeking as many funny, loud kids as possible! • MARCH 2, MARCH 16, MARCH 30, APRIL 20, AND MAY 4 • Sign-up outside Mrs. Dau (120) or Mrs. Tarvin (418) room

Service Opportunities • Shane’s BBQ Dinner Fundraiser: Members will help to publicize a specific night that Shane’s will donate 15% of all profits to Relay for Life. • NEXT DATE: MONDAY, MARCH 14 • “DINNER WITH FRIENDS” – If you gather a group of friends/family members to eat dinner at Shane’s on one of HHS’s designated Relay for Life nights, collect the receipts. Bring them to the next meeting, and you’ll earn ½ credit of Relay for Life hours for each person that you bring with you. Limit 3 hours. • Sign Hanging/Making Party – Meet in Mrs. Tarvin’s room at 3:30 pm on Thursday! ½ hour of Relay for Life credit available

Relay for Life T-Shirt Sales • Every team at the Relay will have matching team t-shirts. • Harrison’s team has a theme “Bringing the Troops to Fight Cancer,” and we’ll be wearing t-shirts with the following design. • The shirts cost $10, and all profit goes to the American Cancer Society. • Mrs. Tarvin or Admin 2 has order forms available if you missed the first order.

  9. Harrison’s Relay Team T-shirt This is our “uniform” for Friday, May 6 at school and at the Relay! Any kid at HHS is welcome to buy a shirt. This is NOT just a Beta Club function!

  10. Relay for Life Walking Shifts • Friday, May 6, 2011 • 7 pm to 7 am • All members are required to attend for at least one hour. You are invited to stay the entire time. Consider the legal curfew however… • If you’d like to sign up for a shift today, see Hannah Lyons and Jamie Newton after the meeting in the OfficialRelay for Life Information Booth!

Relay for Life Tent Decorations • Every team is assigned a large tent at the relay. • Team members can bring camping chairs, snacks, games, etc. and hang out under their tents. • Every team chooses a theme and decorates the tent to match the theme. • Our theme matches our t-shirts: Bringing the Troops to Fight Cancer • If you have military/camouflage gear, we’d love to borrow it to prepare our tent. • TENT DECORATING LEADERS/OTHERS INTERESTED – Let’s have a short meeting on Wed, March 9 at 3:30 pm to get a plan together!
