  2. HRSA Grant Collaborations • A Project Officer (PO) and Grants Management Specialist (GMS) work together to provide HRSA oversight • Common Goal – assist the grantees goals and objectives by achieving and furthering the agency’s mission.

  3. Grants Management Specialist (GMS) • Key Player – Manages a portfolio consisting of a variety of grant programs • Primary point of contact for all fiscal, grants management policy and administrative compliance issues • Acts as an agent of the Grants Management Officer

  4. Grants Management Officer (GMO) • The Federal Official authorized to obligate the agency’s funds and issue Notice of Awards to grantees • Responsible for the business management & other non-programmatic aspects of a grant program. • Interprets grants policies and regulations
