  3. Procedures are like a rope! • If the rope is slack and we pull on it we may not know about a problem for some time. So, it gets back to being able to identify abnormalities. With positive tension we identify issues immediately… with loose or no tension we don’t.

  4. eInduction November 18, 2013 through May 30, 2014 We have shipped 5782 entry points via eInduction with no 8125s Compared to 1401 entry points with 8125s

  5. November 18, 2013 to May 30, 2014 • 144,695,992 pieces have shipped via eInduction • 27,696,954 pieces have shipped via 8125 • 8,081,443 pieces have shipped to Origin (8017)

  6. Time Savings • 5782 Entry points with no 8125s has given back 192.73 hours to Wilen Direct • Eliminated 1.25 cases of paper • Stopped over 43 hours of phone calls to the origin office chasing lost 8125s • USPS gained back 289.10 hours which is seen by no longer requiring two clerks when busy

  7. Minor Issues • Generated 29 calls to facilities refusing loads because of no 8125 • This has stopped except on Holidays (newer personnel) • Twice trucking companies have torn off skid flags – resulting in generating all skid flags for that facility and emailing over to facility or transportation company

  8. What’s next????? • eInduction pilot for Non-SV sites • eInduction for Origin mail • This will eliminate ALL drop-ship paper work

Mail Acceptance the OLD WAYTakes Time and Money USPS Verification (1) mailing review, (2) labeling review, (3) mail piece review, (4) weight verification, (5) content eligibility, (6) tap test, (7) manual barcode review, (8) manual presort review, and (9) plant-verified drop ship review, if applicable.

  13. Seamless Acceptance • Acceptance is much smoother, skid scan, tray scans, then piece scans • Scorecard and Quality reports, MUST be monitored on a daily basis • Hours saved not pulling skids back into the plant • Requires Process & Procedure changes within your business

  16. Undocumented Mail Found that our 1000 press and inserter pulls that are added to check our work were making it out in the mail. Procedure written and training occurred
