The First Moroccan Crisis of 1906 • The Kaiser visits Morocco and guarantees it’s independence. • Germany is forced to back down at Algeciras meeting. • France feels threatened and insulted by Germany. • Germany is humiliated by having to back down. • The Kaiser is looking for influence in Africa. • The Turkish empire is losing influence and power. • France wants Morocco as an African colony.
