  2. Management SectionKey Points and Discriminators • The Project Office at the NSSTC is directly coupled to the team’s science and technical infrastructure and is responsible to the PI in the management of the project. • Key personnel and institutions have extensive experience in the development of flight hardware • PI • Project Office • NSSTC Space Optics Manufacturing Technology Center (SOMTC) • UAH Center for Applied Optics (CAO) • ESP is compliant with compliant with NASA Procedures and Guidelines (NPG) for Program and Project Management and Systems Engineering • A detailed Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) has been developed and is the primary tool for delineating details of the tasks. The WBS is the basis for developing the project costs and schedule. • Adequate technical and programmatic reserves have been budgeted and baselined. The allocation of reserves will be managed by the Project Manager with concurrence of the PI. • Significant risk mitigation completed or planned • completed demonstration of manufacturing techniques for fresnel lens concept • plan to develop prototype hardware
