Untuk mengobati ikan mas yang terkena Aeromonas hydrophylla, dilakukan pengujian pengobatan dengan kloramfenikol, hijau malakit, khlortetrasiklin dan formaldehid dengan konsentrasi 0,5 ppm, 1 ppm dan 1,5 ppm. Percobaan diulang 4 kali. Aeromonas hydrophylla diberikan sebanyak 1 x 10 6 koloni/ml. Setiap bak percobaan diisi 50 ekor ikan. Hasil yang diamati adalah banyaknya ikan yang hidup setelah pengobatan.
