External Financial Support – Trend 2010 total commitment increases by 40% to $55bn. • ICA members 40% up to $28.2bn. • Private sector nearly back to 2008 level, after 2009 decrease • China commitments almost doubled to an estimated $9 bn. • Arab Funds and African Regional Dev.   6. Sectors – Trend • Energy sector commitments increased by 57% compared to 2009 to $14,7bn. • Transport up by 14% ($8,1bn) • Water nearly doubled ($4.3 bn) • ICT down by 58% to $0,3bn. ICA Annual Meeting 2011

  7. ICA Members Commitments – Regional ICA members commitments to regional projects at $3.9bn. Slight increase of 5% over 2009 Multilaterals up by 13% Bilaterals down by 19% 16% of total commitments made to regional projects in 2010 ICA Annual Meeting 2011

  8. ICA Members Disbursements • Total disbursements at $9.7bn, 38% of 2010 commitments • Bilateral members disbursed $1.7bn: disbursement rate 27%. • Multilateral members disbursed $6.4bn: disbursement rate 42% ICA Annual Meeting 2011
