  5. Every higher education institution esatblishes your own conditions and procedures for admission. Estonian National Examination and Qualification Centre

  6. The first requirement is: the results of national examinations Estonian National Examination and Qualification Centre

  7. In order to graduate secondary school and get the certificate pupils have to take: • at least five school-leaving examinations, • at least three of which must be national examinations. Students may take all five final examinations as national examinations. Estonian National Examination and Qualification Centre

  8. The compulsory exams for all pupils are: • In Estonian-language schools, the national examination in Estonian (essay) • In Russian-language schools, national examination in Russian (essay) Estonian National Examination and Qualification Centre

  10. National examinations are assessed on a 100-point scale • For graduation from upper secondary school a national examination result must be at least 20 points • If the result is less than 20 points, the examinee has failed Estonian National Examination and Qualification Centre

  11. If the school leaver fails a state examination he/she can retake the examination in the same subject the following year. Estonian National Examination and Qualification Centre
