Yes & No • There are similarities • They both stem from group identity • The victims are social misfits BULLYING IS OFTEN THE ACTIONS OF ONLY ONE PERSON but Additionally • their goals differ HAZING IS ALMOST ALWAYS DONE BY GROUPS OF PEOPLE • Bullying is banishment • Hazing is acceptance Michael Angelo
