Cameron Dual Language Magnet Elementary. Odessa, Texas. Here’s Our School. We have grades Kindergarten through 6 th grade. About 600 students attend school here. Jackrabbit Statue. Odessa is home to the world’s largest Jackrabbit. We even have a hockey team named after him.

  2. Here’s Our School We have grades Kindergarten through 6th grade. About 600 students attend school here.

  3. Jackrabbit Statue • Odessa is home to the world’s largest Jackrabbit. • We even have a hockey team named after him. This is a picture of him when he went to visit Six Flags (one of our big theme parks).

  4. We live about 30 minutes from the Monahans Sandhills. This is a state park that is 3840 acres of sand. Some of the sand dunes are up to 70 feet tall. Desert Scenery

  5. Oil • Many of our parents work in the oil business. • This is a picture of a pumpjack. We have a lot of these right outside our city.

  6. Football • Football is the favorite sport in Odessa. • We even had a movie made about one of our high school football teams.

  7. Food • We enjoy lots of different types of food. • We like pizza, hamburgers and Mexican food. Enchiladas are tortillas filled with beef, cheese or chicken and covered with a apicy tomato sauce.

  8. Pets • Some of us have dogs or cats. A few have birds or fish. • Our favorite is usually a nice, friendly dog. This is a chihuahua. Many of us have this kind of little dog.
