Shape? What does the person’s face look like? Eyes Nose Ears Other (ex. Glasses, facial hair) Lips/Teeth What does the person wear? Other Rotten, green, bumpy, rough, wrinkly, scaly Dirty, red-orange, tangled, dreadlocks No shirt, muscular White-red, sunken, blackened small Open, no teeth nothing Jumped up and screamed

  7. How to Describe the Weather…Ask Yourself: What is the temperature? High? Low? What precipitation? (rain, snow, sleet, hail) What is the wind like? Force (MPH)? Direction? What is the sun or cloud cover? What other details are important? What effect does the weather have on daily life? What activities would be good for the day?

  8. How to Describe an Action…Ask Yourself: Why is the action being performed? Who performs the action? What movement or activity is involved? What object or body part is involved? Where and when does the action take place? How does the action start and end? What is the effect of the action (what happens because of it?)What might happen next?

  9. How to Describe a Place…Ask Yourself: Where is this place? What kind of place is it? (ex. Desert, forest, building, city) What does it look like? How big? What is the geography like? What are the people like? How many? What type of people?What is the culture like? What can you find there? (buildings, animals, food, other) What is the weather like? What is famous/important about this place?
