  4. Hyperbole-Exaggeration for effect not meant to be taken literally. Ex- My dog eats like bear that never ate.

  5. Alliteration-Repetition of the begging sound meant to be with the 3 first letters of that sentence. Ex-Bill bought big balloons.

  6. Idiom-set phrase with special meaning Ex –butter him up

  7. Personification –giving an inanimate object life qualities. Ex-The stars are dancing in the sky
