  2. Our Goal Our groups main goal is to raise awareness on the dangers of alcohol poisoning and as well as to raise money for the Aware Awake Alive organization.

  3. Collaborators Aware Awake Alive Chick-fil-A 1379 Sports

  4. Aware Awake Alive National non-profit organization Mission: Equipping youth and their communities with the tools and confidence to prevent lives lost from alcohol poisoning. Austin based organization Created after the death of Austin High graduate Carson Starkey Recently introduced program to all 23 California state University campuses.

  5. Chick-fil-A National fast-food chain restaurant Mission: Serving local neighbors with food donations and supporting those in need. Taking care of the people who take care of our communities. Given more than $68 million to over 700 educational and charitable organizations. Provided millions in food donations across the country

  6. 1379 Sports Locally owned children’s sports wear. Offer to have volunteers to help referee the tournament. Mike Rosanthal (Co-owner) is the head football coach at Austin High School. 1379 Mission: Greet everyone that walks in with a smile, provide them with education, stay involved in our community, and make every costumer feel like an elite athlete.

Our Plan • 3 on 3 basketball tournament • West Austin Youth Association • Gathering the community with a fun activity and learning experience. • Educational materials (Pamphlets, wrist bands, etc.) • Food provided by Chick-fil-A. • Donation box • Prize for winning team • Will accept team entry fees during lunch ($15 fee)

Advertising • Posters and fliers put up around school. • Date, time, and pictures will be shown on the posters. • Emails sent to parents and kids regarding event. • Emails will ask for participation or donation from parents or students. • Announcement on K-AHS and in school news letter. • Possible skit on K-AHS with information on event (funny). To encourage people to attend.

  9. During Event Food and drinks provided by Chick-fil-A in the main lobby Tables with information on Aware Awake Alive and our goal will be provided. 3 on 3 Basketball tournament with at least 4 games on 4 baskets. Single or double elimination depending on turnout. Each player gets a free wristband.

  10. Various Audiences • Adults: Main donors • Emails directed at adults will be more mature, kindly asking for donations and support • Information and email for their kids and families • High School Kids: participants • Will hear about event from school and advertisement • Information and education provided to kids • Entertained and in a fun environment playing basketball
