  2. NASDA’s Contribution to WTF-GOFC 1. TRFIC Server node with JERS-1 SAR MOSAIC datasets - CEOS/WGISS support for CEOS Plenary (and IGOS-P) - Other Pilot Project support possible 2. MODIS/GLI data exchange - Data interoperability and utilization in the Asian region - NASDA’s initiative for the Asian region

  3. TRFIC Server with JERS-1 SAR MOSAIC dataset • Dataset: JERS-1 SAR Mosaic • For IWS2001: GRFM/GBFM data • For Plenary: Additional SAR Mosaic such as South East Asia • Data Server will be established in NASDA/EORC by next January • NASDA will continue to add Global Mosaic data to catalog. (Catalog and Browse)

  4. MODIS/GLI Data Exchange • Datasets - MODIS (Terra) data: Promote MODIS data (simulated GLI data) for forest applications in Asia • Asian region activity. Agencies to be involved (AIT, Tokyo Univ., NASDA, users and researchers) are now being coordinated.

  5. MODIS/GLI data exchange (Proposal) TERRA/ MODIS Tokyo Univ. (process) APAN/SInet AIT (capture, process) NASDA (GLI simulator) Chiba University (Data analysis) Forest Agency (Data analysis) Land use Forest Fire

  6. NASDA’s direction for WTF support • NASDA will contribute to CEOS support of IGOS-P themes and IGOS/CEOS related science projects (GOFC, GODAE, CEOP, etc) • NASDA’s information systems and tools such as the EOC TRFIC server node, DIAL, IMS server, and EOIS servers are available to support the above activities. • NASDA will establish a new support system if necessary (depending on the needs of Pilot Projects) • To promote the value of WGISS activities to policy makers, NASDA wishes there to be an impressive demonstration at the CEOS Plenary in Kyoto in November, 2001.
