Who is SchoolDocs Ltd? • SchoolDocs was established in 2006 as a collaborative venture between experienced educationalists and a specialist policy and procedure company. • The founders recognised that thousands of school principals and boards across the country were grappling with near identical issues to ensure their policies and procedures were comprehensive, up-to-date, effectively consulted on, and easy to use.

Why do you need SchoolDocs? • SchoolDocs will save you time and money: • No more paper policies to keep current and distributed. • No more secretarial time spent formatting, versioning, and copying paper policies. • The risk of poorly drafted policy is minimised – you have input from experts all round the country. • The principal, who is under increasing pressure to delegate administrative activities, can spend more time leading learning. • The SchoolDocs advisory service and review process helps to keep you compliant.

  9. What are the features of your site? • Your SchoolDocs site is easy to navigate - with a table of contents and a search

  10. What are the features of your site? • Each school has a unique user name and password and the site is accessible to the whole school community. • Related documents are just a click away, with hyperlinks to other topics, forms, and relevant websites.

How does the review process work? • The review schedule is spread over a three year cycle and is the same for all SchoolDocs schools. • Each term, SchoolDocs sends out an advisory email to each principal and a board member, reminding them about the impending reviews. • The principal then advises stakeholders to go online and participate in the review (there is also a paper option).

How does the review process work? • Thereview system allows stakeholders to rate the policy and provide feedback on: • The wording of the policy, and • The adequacy of its implementation at your school. • All the ratings are automatically collated and represented to the principal and board in histogram form.

  15. How does the review process work? • Updates occur as a result of review comments, changes to regulatory requirements, or generically applicable feedback from any user. • Substantive changes to content are notified to schools via an advisory before they are rolled out.

How does site tailoring occur? • The principal fills in an online questionnaire which provides SchoolDocs with the necessary information to tailor your school’s site. • (You can contact SchoolDocs and arrange to see the questionnaire before you sign up.) • When SchoolDocs has tailored your site, the principal checks the content before it “goes live” to the school community.
