  3. What is SRC at FJH? • SRC stands for Study, Remediate, and Collaborate. • Time for ALL students to attend a specific class each Tuesday and Thursday to help stay on track and to participate in study, learning, and enrichment activities. • Students will receive help from teachers in specific content areas.

  4. When is SRC? • Every Tuesday and Thursday after 2nd period. • SRC will run for ½ an hour, from 9:50 – 10:20.

  5. Why are we doing SRC? • To provide EVERY student an opportunity to catch up on missing assignments, receive help in difficult classes, or participate in meaningful learning activities. • To build life and academic skills that will prepare you for your future.

  6. How does SRC work? • Each student will receive a status card while in 2nd period class. • This card will identify where you go during SRC time based on missing assignments and grades. • On Tuesdays, the priority is Math & History. • On Thursdays, the priority is English & Science.

How does SRC work? • So, if you are missing assignments in Math or History, on Tuesday you will receive a card showing the class you need to attend to catch up on Math or History. • If, you are missing assignments in English or Science, on Thursday you will receive a card showing the class you need to attend to catch up on English or Science.

  9. Status Card • But, your status card will designate where you are to go during SRC time. • For example, if you are deficient in Computer Tech but not missing anything in the four priority classes, then you will attend the Computer Tech SRC class to catch up.

  10. What happens when Iget to my SRC class? • You will work with the teacher to catch up on missing assignments. • You will also have the time to receive help from the teacher on assignments not understood.

  12. What if I arrive at an openclass and it is full? • You will need to quickly find the next open classroom with space and get started on the learning activity. • Students are expected to be in a class during SRC time.

  13. What if I make up all my workon Tuesday, can I attend an open class on Thursday? • You will attend the class until the status card shows grade changed. • Teachers will need reasonable time to enter missing assignments and update grades.
