  6. Moving from Academic to Pre AP Math The same as skipping a full year of math! Math Lab Required if you fail Math STAAR 7th grade Pre AP/GT English & reading combined – only for students currently in GT English & GT Reading Reading Improvement Required if you fail Reading STAAR Math Reading

  7. Pre AP Courses • Good grades to stay in A’s & B’s • A’s in Academic Course to get in • To move into Pre AP Math additional criteria as determined by the district • Positive attitude • Willing to work hard and study hard • Great organizational skills • Good study habits and good work habits • YOU MUST DO YOUR HOMEWORK!!!

  8. GT Courses • Mark a GT Course ONLY if you are currently enrolled in the 6th grade equivalent of that course. • If you are currently being screened for GT, sign up for Pre AP. • GT English and Reading are combined into one class.
