  3. Questionnaire • Zone AE/VE - New construction must be elevated ___ feet above BFE as shown on FIRM. • Zone AE/VE - New construction must be elevated ___ feet above BFE determined by a study based on fully developed watershed (future conditions)

  4. Master Drainage Plan (MDP) developed for areas in and around the community using fully developed conditions, for areas the FIRM doesn't address. • Are Developers required to use the MDP BFE. • Zone A (un-numbered) - Developer must conduct a study to define the BFE. If development is greater than 50 lots or 5 Acres, whichever is the lesser. [60.3(b)(3)] Zone A (un-numbered)

  5. Developer must conduct a study to define the floodway boundary based on existing conditions. • Zone A (un-numbered) - Developer must conduct a study to define the floodway boundary based on fully developed watershed (future conditions)

  6. Floodway - no development allowed within ___ feet from the floodway boundary. • No fill is allowed in the floodway or floodplain without mitigation (No adverse impact).

  7. Coastal (Zone VE) Requirements • V/VE Zone - New construction within Zone AE that is within ___ feet of the VE Zone boundary must be constructed to V Zone requirements. (Setback) • V/VE Zone requirements to elevate __ feet above the BFE

  8. Requirements in Zones B, C & X • Zone X (Shaded) - New construction must be elevated ___ feet above natural grade or above the crown of the nearest street. • Zone X (Unshaded) - New construction must be elevated ___ feet above natural grade or the crown of the nearest street. • (Note – Friendswood requires +24” in X shaded and +18” in X unshaded)

  9. Elevation Certificates • Elevation Certificate Requirements - • (1) Submitted with initial permit application. Y/N • (2) Submitted prior to forming/pouring lowest floor. Y/N • (3) Submitted when structure is completed. Y/N • (4) Required prior to issuing a CO. Y/N
