  1. Become the Poet(Based on Your Research)Must be Typed • Write a poem that is at a minimum of 12 lines and a maximum of 18 lines that does the following: • Has a clear speaker • Has a setting • Has at least 1 type of imagery • Has 4 different types of figures of speech (figurative language) • Uses words that have connotative meaning that leads to the tone. • Has a title that is significant • Has a rhyme scheme or meter

  2. Poem Analysis (Must be typed up) • Identify who the speaker • What is the setting? • What type of imagery did you use? Write out the line it was used in. • Identify the figurative language you used in the poem (Must have at least 4 types) Write out the figurative language used. • Write out the words that have connotative meaning. Explain what feelings they evoke. • What is the significance of the title? • What rhyme scheme do you use (abab or aabb)? Give an example of it in the poem.
