  1. Introduction to Celestial Navigation and Astronomy for Sailors! Learn the basics of Celestial Navigation - the art and science of finding your way by the sun, moon, stars, and planets. If your electronics fail at sea, a basic understanding of Celestial Navigation can be very useful. We will use a sextant and take a traditional “noon-site” to determine our latitude and longitude from the position of the sun. Saturday, November 19th 10:30 – 3:30 at The Saratoga Lake Sailing Club Manning Cove, Ballston Spa Sextants provided. Please bring your own lunch.
