  1. https://www.anitadongre.com/ A Dapper Groom's Style Guide Wedding fashion is more often than not, associated with women's luxury dresses for the D-day. The entire focus is always on the bridal attire that the groom may end up feeling neglected and his wedding clothes are not as important. However, for men, this is the perfect time to bring out their dapper side and get creative through their wedding suits for the groom. Today’s groom has moved on from the mundane looks and neutral colours and has started to think outside of the box. He wants to experiment with unconventional textures, colours, and other elements that elevate wedding suits for the groom making them more exciting and unique. After all, why should girls have all the fun? – With time grooms have made their way to the front of this fashion-forward race with their impressive dapper clothing.  Here are a few things a dapper groom would do to become showstoppers (or at least a close second!)

  2. Mix traditional and modern With designers like Anita Dongrewho blend modernity and ethnicity into perfectly curated chic ensembles, one is spoilt for choice. You may want to retain certain traditional elements in your groom's attire but may be intrigued by modern details as well. Don’t feel pressured to skew 100% toward either. Since it is your wedding day, you call the shots. If you want to stick to traditional kurtapyjama, do so, but if you want to jazz it up with a bold jacket, colourfulsafa, or some quirky mojris, go all out!!

  3. Flaunt your personality through your accessories Distinguish yourself from the rest of the crowd by injecting your outfit with accessories that define you. This is the perfect avenue to experiment and select some fun and unique accessories. A classic wedding suit for the groom would look super cool with a quirky pair of socks, a cool bowtie, and a funky pocket square. Consider your cufflinks, pocket squares, Nehru jackets, stole, and even your shoes as prospects to be creative. Try out an eye-catching jacket that brings out who you are. Note: This pink silk dupatta by Anita Dongre is a dapper addition to your outfit. It reflects your demure yet cheerful personality and is ideal for making a statement.  Source

  4. Think beyond black, grey, and white  Go wild with colours when deciding on your main outfit this year. Switch to pastel shades like lilac, powder blue, and blush pink for day weddings. Opt for bold dramatic hues for night functions. These dark colours in rich fabrics will exude poise and panache. Experiment with gold, maroon, navy blue, rust, and other such inviting colours that elicit happiness. Colour blocking is another expected trend for dapper grooms this season - colour combinations like blue and yellow, green and red, brown and maroon and gold and yellow are expected to be seen. Express yourself with colours!

  5. Power through with patterns  Patterns certainly needn’t be off-limits for grooms as long as they are chosen tastefully and the groom doesn’t go overboard with them. Your entire outfit doesn’t need to have patterns. Even if you are leaning towards a solid colouredsherwani or bandhgala, introduce some personality into the look with a patterned stole or safa. The incorporating pattern will help you offset your look from the rest of the groomsmen, while making you look dapper. Note: This tastefully patterned safa showcases gold speckles that are understated, yet lend a touch of glamour. A matching pocket square with this gold dotted safa would make for a perfect dapper addition to wedding suits for the groom Go for floral prints, embroidery and don’t shy away from shimmer. Source

  6. Think beyond black, grey, and white  Floral is a timeless trend that is being donned tastefully by the new-age grooms. The perfect way to incorporate florals in wedding outfits is by matching your partner’s print. Integrating the bride’s lehenga or saree print into a sherwani, dhoti kurta or dupatta looks gorgeous on men who embrace it. Ethnic embroidery trends such as intricate gold zardozi embroidery are making a comeback. Chikankari embroidery on easy-breezy fabrics like cotton is great for daytime nuptial functions.  Last but not least, dapper grooms are not shying away from shimmer. If you have a Ranveer Singh personality, an all-out sequinned tuxedo or metallic suit could be your scene. But for other more modest dressers who are just looking to stand out with grace, mirror detailing or sequins on the collar lend that festive touch with panache.

  7. Thank You
