  3. JBAIDS Modernization • Platinum Path Extraction Kit

JBAIDS Training • FY09 training slots • HSMR-LT line funded slots – 45 slots • 44 of 45 slots apportioned • 26 trained as of today • Air Staff pays for class - $7,800 • TDY cost’s are paid locally with HSMR line funds (PE 28036F) • HSMR-LT Chief notify local SGX of trainees • Local SGX works with RMO to load HSMR funds into DTS

JBAIDS Training • Biological Augmentation Team (FFBAT) • FFBAT DHP funded slots – 12 slots • 10 of 12 slots requested • 1st FFBAT trainee scheduled for April • Air Staff pays for class - $7,800 • TDY costs are paid locally with DHP dollars • Air Staff MIPRs funds to MAJCOM • Funds are identified for particular base / trainee • DHP funds loaded into DTS

AF Fielded M1Ms • Current • 50 – Fielded in support of HSMR • Camber Corporation has maintenance contract • $10K per instrument !!! • 4 – Operational in CENTCOM • Balad (2), and Bagram (2) • Future • M1M replacement by ??? • No Original Requirements Document • Working with JRO to ensure Toxin Detection is captured in CALS/NextGen Diagnostics CDDs

  8. M1M Training • Training conducted by USAFSAM / PHT • With move to WPAFB: • Instruments/Training will move to JBAIDS

  11. Soapbox Issues • Accurate Inventory in DMLSS • Current Training in MRDSS • No M1M

DMLSS Inventory • Goal is to use DMLSS data to determine Central Buy Allowances to avoid tedious data calls • If lab has ability to update DMLSS it is important to update frequently • Important to Interface with Medical Logistics • Coordinate with Logistics when: • New supplies are received • Supplies expire • Supplies are used • Post Inventory

Medical Readiness Decision Support System (MRDSS) • HSMR Training documentation in MRDSS • JBAIDS/M1M training uploaded in MRDSS for active duty • FY09/10 trainees should have UTM document training • Information to be used to award training slots – FY11 • Proficiency testing / competency assessment • FFBAT and HSMR-LT required once per year

Bases W/O M1M • Bases without M1M need to make sure DE portion of 886I Allowance Standard is “Outshipped” in DMLSS • Medical Logistics should be aware of this process • If not done, will affect SORTS stats • Instructions can be found on the Lab Readiness Skills KX Site • 886 Bundling Instructions
