  2. Today: • Installing and using SSH & SFTP • Establishing your dunx1 account • new users • modify existing accounts • Installing Nvu

Getting an SSH client Go To: http://www.drexel.edu/irt/services/comp_mark/software.html Easier to remember: IRT… Computer Marketplace… Get Software • Login with your Drexel username in this format: USER@drexel.edu • After login, go to: Students... PCSoftware... SSH • Click on SSHSecurseS.exe and save it. • Run the .exe file to install the SSH & SFTP client.

  4. Setting up dunx1 • Go to: http://www.drexel.edu/irt/support/pickup_dunx1.html • Easier to remember: • search on IRT site: dunx1 + web • Run through those instructions • Web pages go in public_html directory

  5. Re-Configuring dunx1 • For a very few • old dunx1 accounts • no public_html directory • or public_html never used • See my dunx1 page: http://www.pages.drexel.edu/~dmt34/ See “Setting up your personal page…”

  9. Getting Nvu • Go to: http://nvudev.com/download.php • Easier to remember: • nvu.com • Enter Nvu site • Find “download Nvu...”

  10. On the Nvu Download Page: • Get Nvu for your operating system • download and save to disk • Get the tutorial • scroll down to Extensions, Guides, & Themes • download and save the .xpi file

  11. Nvu Installation: • Install Nvu • Double click on the .exe file • Install the tutorial • Start Nvu • Tools... Extensions... (Drag the .xpi)... Install • Restart Nvu • See Tutorial under Help
