  2. Rainforest Facts • The rainforest is full of beautiful and exotic animals. • The Amazon rainforest is the biggest in the world. • 50% of the worlds food comes from the rainforest. • ¾ of the cleanest water comes from the rainforest. • The rainforest is full of colours.

  3. Animals of The Rainforest • red eyed Tree frog • three-toed sloth • spider-monkey • birds of the rainforest etc. Scarlet Macaw • eyelash Viper • jaguar • poison-arrow frog

  4. Plants of the Rainforest • Spider orchid • Boxwood bush • Bamboo • Coconut tree • Curare • Durian • Jambu Most of the plants from the rainforest are very colourful.

People of the Rainforest The people in the Rainforest wear: grass skirts, banana leafs and animal skins The people in the Rainforest eat: fruit and flavoured spices: ginger, cinnamon, oranges, bananas, star fruit. The people in the Rainforest do: the dad spends most of his day the farm, the oldest son does most of the hunting, the mother does most of the cooking/cleaning and the younger children spend their day learning. There are many different tribes that live in the rainforest, over 50,000,00 tribal live in the rainforest e.g. The Pygmies, The Huli and The Yanomami.

  6. Food of the Rainforest • Green bananas • Avocado • Peanut • Rice • Pineapple • Coconut • Cinnamon • Ginger • Egg plant • Chocolate • pepper Most of the our food comes from the rainforest

  7. Rainforest Homes • Rainforest homes are much different from ours. • Their houses are made out loads of different materials like sticks.
