National Digital Library for Agriculture: A Proposal “Complete and implement a plan for a national digital library for agriculture (NDLA) that will be the main focus and long-term organizing principle for NAL and the national network of university and industrial libraries.”Report on the National Agricultural Library -- 2001 • In 2002, this recommendation was endorsed by the National Agricultural Research, Extension, Education, and Economics Advisory Board (NAREEE), following a period of public comment. • In 2005, the Ad Hoc Task Force for the NAL challenged NAL to think in terms of “big, bold, and bodacious” ideas.   3. National Digital Library for Agriculture is Envisioned to Be: • Comprehensive digital collections • Accessed by robust search engines • Linked to analytical tools • Built on a network of partnerships • Coordinated by NAL
