  6. Work Management Enhancements Overview IBM Confidential

  7. Move/Swap/Modify Action • The Move/Modify Asset action is being enhanced in a number of ways. The action will now be called Move/Swap/Modify • A true ‘Swap’ option is now offered where an asset can be swapped out for a replacement

  8. Automated Process Flow for Work Orders • Embedded work flow process in Job Plans and Work Orders • Automatically ‘start’ new records when all predecessors are completed • Automatically complete work orders when all tasks have been completed • Do not allow inheritance of start and complete status changes • Optionally turn on this feature or not

  9. View Work Detail Action • The existing View WO & PM action is being enhanced. It will now be called View Work Details. • This action will now display both Work Orders and Tickets in a single work view. • All classes of records will be displayed and identified • The old View Tickets action will be replaced by this new action

  10. New Activities & Tasks Application • The existing Activities application will be replaced by a new ‘Activities & Tasks’ application • Designed to farm work out to laborers/technicians • Similar to Quick Reporting • Designed for executing single Tasks or Activities • Not designed for hierarchies • Not designed for planning • Screens have been pared down for ease of use

  11. Attached Documents on Work Tasks and Job Tasks • Job Plan Tasks and Work Plan Tasks will need to support attached documents • Paper Clip icons and standard Attached Doc functionality will be added to the Job Plan Tasks and Work Order Tasks • Attachments on Job Plan Tasks will be copied to the subsequent Work Order Tasks.

  12. Nested Job Plans • Nested Job Plans allow Work Order hierarchies to be created • If a Job Plan Task has a Nested Job Plan defined, it will create a child work order instead of a task

  13. Allow All Item Types on Job Plans • Items can be associated with Job Plans to determine what work will be required if an item is purchased. • The change allows ALL types of items to be associated – Service, Tool, Material.

  14. New Job Plan Template Type Field • A new field will be added called Template Type • Valid Values: • MAINTENANCE – Traditional Job Plans • ACTIVITY – Activity Template • PROCESS – Process Template

  15. IBM Maximo Linear Asset Manager 7.1

  16. Trails Rails Roads Pipelines Linear 101 • A linear asset covers a distance, and that distance directly impacts the maintenance of the asset.

  17. Security Overview and Enhancements Summary

  18. Enhanced Flexibility • Increased Ease of Use/Administration • Maximo Authentication • LDAP Integration

  19. Ability to conditionally set security on individual data elements per group • Only fetch asset records from the database when the type is IT • Create a condition • Create a Data Restriction

  20. Data Restrictions (Row and Attribute Security) • Set conditions for access everywhere an object or attribute is used • Hidden, read-only, required, qualified • Globally or per security group

  21. Signature Option on a Control • Application Designer • Add/Modify Signature Options • Control Properties Dialog • Tie the Control to a SIGOPTION to set on/off access

  22. Application Designer – Signature Options

  23. LDAP Integration • Enhanced standard integration with external directories (LDAP) including ITDS
