    4. How to setup the Alternate Menu In ENV, add the line “USE-ALT-MENU Y”’ Exit Bookstore Manager and go back in At Enter Program name, type AMM Configure the Menu See next slide… AMM – Alternate Menu’s

AMM – Alternate Menu’s • There are 3 main column titles that you can customize. • You will need to check the box “Show” next to each entry you want to show • Under the “Program” column, type the name of the program • Under the “Description” column, type the description of the program. • Click <Save=F5>

    6. AMM – Alternate Menu’s • You may wish to configure multiple menus. Example: You want a POS menu and a Receiving menu. • You can customize multiple menu’s. You can use any number between 0-9, or A-Z (Y and N cannot be used). • While in AMM, click <Chg User=F6> and type a # or character to customize a different menu. Example: “R” might mean Receiving. • Click OK

    7. AMM – Alternate Menu’s • Customize the “R” menu, then click <Save=F5> • Or, you can customize more menus…

    8. AMM – Alternate Menu’s • To tell each station what menu to use, on each station, you will need to go into SYS  Environment  User’s Station Environment. Press OK at the User # prompt. • Go to the Misc. tab and in “USE-ALT-MENU”, type the menu # or character, then click <Save=F5>.

    15. IVHR • “Rolls” the inventory history • Monthly/Weekly history rolls • At the end of each month, IVHR moves the Month to date inventory totals into history • At the end of each week, IVHR moves the Week to date inventory totals into history

Improving Inventory Turnover • Turnover (Turn) = The number of times you sell through your on hand in a year • The higher your turn, the less you will have to invest in inventory • You can have up to 8 different turns for your store • (SYS > Config File > Change Misc Configurations > Fields 2029 – 2036 • SLJD > Departments 1 – 48 (Trn column)
