  2. We have the motto “Believe and Achieve ” to remind everyone in the school community, pupils, parents, staff and governors that we should always have high expectations of ourselves and each other. If we believe we can do it then we can do it. Our Motto

To teach well we need to: work well together feel valued and supported be prepared to cater for the needs of each child have high expectations of our pupils expect outstanding professional development  To have an outstanding School and Children’s Centre we need to: have outstanding leadership and clearly defined policies. work as a team (staff, pupils, parents, governors). promote a caring, well disciplined ethos. have excellent facilities and resources. ensure continuity and progression in the curriculum. maximise the strengths of the staff. develop links with the local community. Our Aims and Values

  4. Our Aims and Values To learn well a child needs to be: * safe and secure * motivated and interested * actively involved in the learning process * able to see the purpose of the learning. A child will get the best from education if: * she/he attends school/Children’s Centre regularly. * his/her efforts are valued and supported * she/he is able to attain achievable targets. * she/he is rewarded for successes * she/he is encouraged at home.

Improve the quality of teaching so that it is consistently good • Raise standards in English by ensuring all pupils make good progress in writing, especially boys and those who are more able • Raise standards in mathematics by ensuring all pupils make good progress • Strengthen the role of the governing body OFSTED October 2012

  6. Pupils make good progress in Reading • Pupils feel safe in school, behave well and are keen to learn • The rate at which pupils are learning is starting to accelerate • The quality of teaching is being monitored OFSTED 2012

Full day child-care which is OFSTED registered, is open from 7.45 a.m. to 6p.m.for 50 weeks of the year in the Children’s Centre and in other rooms in the school building: The team of play-care staff also offer:- Minimax club (care for pupils before and after school) Pre-Nursery group for children of 3years and a term Sessional Play groups (2½ - 4 year olds) Wrap around care (for part time Nursery pupils) Holiday and training day play-scheme Ring 0121 366 7639 for the Children’s Centre details, dates and prices. Teachers speak of a clear vision based upon improving teaching through high expectations…. The quality of teaching is improving and this is shown through data which shows better progress and rising attainment The School’s vision has been recognised as outstanding OFSTED
