Material of the Week • http://www.eatyourkimchi.com • Good for: • Learning what foreigners think about Korea • Lessons on how to describe something Korean to a foreigner • Finding fun videos on a variety of Korean topics (good for students who need more background knowledge) • As a bonus for you (the teacher): • Keep up-to-date on the Kpop your students like • Listen to native speakers’ English • Write feedback that other fans can read/learn from

Alternative Approaches and Methods Project • Individually or in groups of 2, pick one approach/method to present in class • Presentations will be 5-7min • Feel free to make a PPT, poster, make handouts, etc. • Bonus points for creativity (make a skit, do an interview) • You must cover • The method’s background and theory • Design • Procedure • Any special notes (including it’s popularity and use today)

  11. #1 Challenge: Present Method in an interesting and engaging way! • Help your students effectively learn the new content • Keep it simple, don’t overwhelm them with too many details, just what is most important (i.e. the “take home message”) • Use handouts and visuals to make learning memorable
