3.1 Scalars and Vectors

Scalar: A quantity that is fully described by a single number. Ex. Mass, temperature, volume….

Vector: A quantity having both magnitude and direction. Ex. Velocity, force, electric field…..

Symbols:

The magnitude of a vector is a scalar quantity.
