  4. Use • Some of these pronouns are used for subjects, others as direct or indirect objects, or objects of prepositions.

  5. In German… • German personal pronouns are used in the same ways: as subject, direct & indirect objects, and objects of prepositions. • Like the definite (der, die, das) and indefinite (ein, eine) articles, personal pronouns have special forms in the various cases. • You should already be familiar with the nominative case forms.
