  1. The Evolution of Civilization By: Antonio N

  2. King Lark was the ruler of his people on the moonduring3000 b.c.e. He was a god that everyone worshipped. Kink Lark and hispeople lived on the moon and had many difficulties. They were forced to live inside of a spaceship because the lack of gravity on the moon was dangerous.

  3. King Lark said, “We must travel to planet earth on the starship; we won’t be able to survive here forever.” So the people gathered their stuff and were ready to travel. But it took very long to arrive to earth because everyone kept floating around due to the lack of gravity, and the starship was very hard to control.

  4. King Lark and the people finally arrived on planet earth. They did not know what to do or where to settle, so king Lark said, “We shall travel until we can find flat lands for everyone to settle.”

  5. They finally found a place to settle after two weeks. There were two flat lands with a river flowing straight down the middle. The peopletraveledin groups to explore the new things they could make materials with.

  6. Although the discovery of earth was something great to celebrate, the people unfortunately did not have enough resources to survive. However, they began finding new ways todevelopfood. They realized they could start planting seeds in the ground to produce wheat, and they used the river to water the seeds.King Lark said, “Everyone must work for him to be allowed to use the water from the river.”

  7. King Lark said, “We must build a place for our people to pray to the gods.” It took months to find enough material to build this place of worship, which was called the ziggaurat. When it was finally done, King Lark went there every day to pray to the godsandpay his respects.

  8. King Lark said, “Everyone must attend the ziggurat every day.” So each day, the people gathered in the ziggurat to praise the gods. They knew if they didn’tattend, thegodswouldgivethembadluck.

  9. King Lark began creating laws and collected taxes. The people gradually built homes and temples; when they where done, they finally had a beautiful city and a more orderly life.

  10. Music was important to the people. While people prayed to the gods in the ziggurat, others played music to bring joy to the gods. The people also played music during temple ceremonies and celebrations.

  11. The people invented many things. They made stone hammers and axes. Farmers used barrels to transport their crops. They also built sailboats and doorways.

  12. The people created their own written language, which Kink Lark named Antricop.Antricop means peace and joy, and is a word that was used often by Kink Lark and the gods. They created symbols for thoughts and sounds, but in the beginning, there were too many symbols. This made the language very complicated. Eventually, they simplified the symbols and combined them, which made the language much easier to use.
