  2. AMAO 1 - Percent of ELs Making Annual Progress in Learning EnglishAMAO 1 shows the percent of ELs in the District who met the annual growth target on the CELDT.

  3. AMAO 2 - Percent of ELs Attaining English Proficiency on CELDTAMAO 2 measures the percent of ELs in a defined cohort, who have attained English proficiency on the CELDT at a given point in time.

  4. AMAO 3 - Percent of ELs Making Adequate Yearly Progress on the CST- ELAAMAO 3 shows the percent of ELs in the District who met the annual growth target on the CST. AMAO 3 - Percent of ELs Making Adequate Yearly Progress on the CST- MATHAMAO 3 shows the percent of ELs in the District who met the annual growth target on the CST.

  7. Important Upcoming Dates • 9/4-Primary Language entry cutoff date for pre-id labels • 9/24-Initials complete for students enrolled first day of school • 9/28-Pre-id labels distributed to school sites • 10/30-Annual window closes • 11/2,3,4-scorable CELDT return schedule

  8. Test forms and distributions • Form (previously known as version) • Form 3 distributed to BCSD • K/1 has 2 separate consumable student books • Listening/Speaking • Reading/Writing

  9. Demographic pages • If a pre-id label is used, the following bubbles will need to be filled in: • Form (Field F) • Date testing completed (Field 11) • Test variations (Field 22, if necessary) • Test irregularities (Field 18, if directed, direction can only be given by Gay Barney, ext. 14819)

Test Security • Test Security Agreement • Anyone who is responsible for securing or has access to the test materials • Test Security Affidavit • Examiner’s and Proctors who have received training • District Coordinator collects and keeps on file for 12 months • Must be signed on an annual basis

CELDT process flow • CELDT District Coordinator forwards school boxes to sites • CDC orders and distributes additional materials as needed by sites • Site tests students • Site coordinator checks completed student books • Site coordinator completes GIS/SGL and packages tests into envelopes and then into saved CELDT boxes

  12. CELDT process flow (cont.) • Site coordinator brings completed booklets to Research and Evaluation on scheduled date (Nov. 2-4) • CDC ships tests for scoring

  13. Packaging and Returning Materials • Separate by grade • K/1: package listening/speaking separately from reading/ writing • 1 Group Identification Sheet (GIS) for each grade group • 1 School Group List (SGL) for each school listing all GIS • Each grade listed once except for K-1 this year

  14. Group Identification Sheet • Fill in correct grade level (alpha) • Fill in number of students – verify counts against the school group list • Fill in grade (numeric)

  15. School/Group List • Fill in the DISTRICT coordinator contact information, Gay Barney, 661-631-4819 • Fill in the grade sections and number tested • List K-1 groups separately with the domains of the books in the comments field

  16. Questions & Answers • Q: Why do we save the boxes ? • A: These boxes must be used to bring your scorable materials to the district for shipping.
