Updates on Research Activities December to early weeks of January – Tried to reach various women’s org (Wedpro, CATW-AP, Visayan Forum) to schedule a meeting Jan 21- went to CATW-AP Jan 22- went to Malate to meet with our contact person and interviewed 2 female prostitutes – Janine and Michelle Feb 3- interviewed Ma'am Lody of WEDPRO

  3. Qualitative Data Collected / Gathered (share the the types of qualitative data you are able to collect) voice recording of the interviews notes from the interview

  4. Ways of Storing, Organizing and Managing the Qualitative Data The recordings and the notes are all posted in our FB group where we compile our data. We have a journal notebook where we put schedules, meetings we had as a group as well as those with the organizations and respondents.

  5. Problems Encountered in Data Gathering We couldn’t get a response from most of the organizations we tried to contact.Most of their information on the internet aren’t updated. We found 2 possible “Ms.A”s who both agreed for a second round of interview but when we tried to reach them, they didn’t respond anymore. We’re way behind our schedule and still haven’t found even a candidate for Ms. A.

  6. Solutions to the Problems Encountered We are coordinating with WEDPRO to help us get in touch with the female prostitutes they work with in Olonggapo City and Angeles City. We plan to visit the site next week where we intend to stay for the weekend. We are also starting to look for respondents from nearer locations (around quezon city). Be more aggressive with the data gathering.

  7. Ways Forward Feb. 15 – Go to Quezon Ave. to look for a contact person or a possible Ms. A. Feb. 15 – Meet with WEDPRO representative to finalize plan for visit to Angeles City; look for Ms. A around Quezon City. Feb. 21-23 – Target visit to Angeles City with WEDPRO. If possible, have consecutive interviews with female prostitutes that whole weekend.

  8. Ways Forward Feb. 24 – Organize and analyze data gathered Last week of Feb to first week of March – Write first draft March 14 – Submission of first draft
