Early Life • Parents: Louise and Alphonos • 2 brothers Henry and Horace 1 sister Frances and 2 half brothers Charles Peter. • Had many friends • large family • Dad was successful judge served President Ulysses S. Grants • He was teased because he was heavy and they called him “Lubber” • Very smart went to Yale and worked hard and he said all this hard work will pay off

  4. Family Life • He married Helen “Nellie” Herron in 1886 June 19 • Had 3 children 2 boys 1 girl • Names Robert born 1889,Helen born 1891 and Charles born 1897 • Enjoyed work and after graduating from Yale he decided to be a lawyer!
