  2. Processing Goals • Centralize our efforts by increasing speed, efficiency and productivity. • Maintain our customer focus. • Maintain an environment of cooperative spirit emphasizing mutual trust and respect. Goal: Our desire is to lead the industry in every aspect of work force management.

  3. Process Overview • Processing begins with a site orientation at 6:00 a.m. The orientation is very important must be attended by all vendor personnel. • Vendors arriving late will not process that day. • Parking for Gravel Neck is in the large lot on the left side prior to entering the Gravel Neck gate. Vendors will be shuttled to the Processing Facility. For safety reasons, no one is permitted to walk. • Vendors will stage for orientation in the Quad Unit directly behind the new Processing Center. After orientation, vendor site representatives will send small groups to the Processing Center for check in. • Food service provided by order only. Vending will also be available.

  4. Processing Overview • Processing Begins: at 7:00 a.m. following the 6:00 a.m. Mandatory Orientation. • Upon completion of site requirements at Gravel Neck personnel shall report to the Surry On-Site Processing Center. • Additional requirements such as hand geometry, TLD issuance will be completed after arrival on site at Surry. • Vendors are on site for the expressed purpose of processing for nuclear related work activities. The expectation is that all vendors will cooperate fully by moving expeditiously through the process completing all requirements in a efficient and professional manner. Your full cooperation is expected and appreciated.

  5. Processing Specifics • Processing Operations Begin: 03/30/09 • DZ Atlantic Arrive Time: 0500 hours • All Other Vendor Personnel Arrive: 6:00 a.m. • Orientation Begins: 6:00 a.m. Processing Begins at 7:00a.m. • Those completing site requirements at Gravel Neck will be issued a site badge and instructed to report on site. Vendors will report to the Surry Processing Center for guidance and direction. TLD’s will be issued upon arrival. • Site Representatives will be informed when badges are printed. Vendors need not continually inquire regarding badge status.

  6. Processing Requirements • Positive government issued photo identification. Foreign Nationals must provide authorization to work in US. • Gravel Neck site badges will be issued and must be worn at all times while on site. • Vendors are not permitted to leave site after check in. • Site rules regarding zero tolerance for the presence of alcohol or illicit drugs apply at Gravel Neck. • Full disclosure regarding prescription and over the counter drugs, fatigue, or impairment for any cause shall be reported upon arrival at Gravel Neck. • Vendors requiring respirator must arrive with physicals updated.

  7. Processing Requirements (con’t) • Standards relative to Supplemental Terms and Conditions apply. • Companies must advise the Processing Center (in advance) when altering projections, or substituting personnel. Dominion Site Representatives should be aware of and approve all changes. • Three day rule. Self Screening companies meet site requirements within three days. • Vendors must pass medical screening.

  8. Safety/Professional Standards • No open toed shoes. Collared shirts, no torn or dirty jeans, no lude verbiage printed on shirts. Arrive as one would when assuming duties. • Personnel are not permitted to access Gravel Neck’s complex. • Supplemental personnel are expected to conduct themselves in a manner consistent with nuclear professional code of conduct.

  9. New FFD Requirements • Five hour abstinence rule means that anyone consuming any performance impairing substance within five hours of reporting violates the rule. • Supervisors should assess for the following factors prior to commencement of duties: • Mental Stress • Fatigue • Illness • Use of prescription or over-the-counter drugs • Any factors or impairment from fatigue or any cause that could adversely impact the ability to perform duties safely and competently.

  10. New FFD Rule-Training • New FFD module requires a stand alone minimum passing score of 80% • Remedial training required for those who fail to answer at 80% proficiency. • Individuals who fail to properly implement FFD program procedures will be subject to remedial training. (May impact UAA status)

  11. New FFD Rule Drug & Alcohol Testing • Alcohol now detected at .02 percent BAC. • If alcohol is detected at less than .02 BAC, the result of the test is negative. • Confirmatory testing for alcohol will be tested at .02 or higher. • Confirmed Positive Test is declared when: • .04 percent BAC or higher • .03 percent BAC, donor at work for 1 hour at time of test (including breaks, rest, lunch, doctor/dental • .02 percent BAC or higher, donor at work for 2 hours • Being Fit for Duty is paramount to safe plant operation!
