  1. Welcome to Kindergarten! Richland Elementary School Room D18 Miss Maddon

AM class runs from 9:10AM-11:40AM *AM students will need transportation home from school at 11:40AM (Front Door) • PM class runs from 1:15PM-3:45PM *PM students will need transportation to school at 1:15PM (Kindergarten Door) *If your child is going home a different way than normal, please send a note! School Day

  3. Please phone the office by 9AM (or 1PM) at 215-529-2450 if your child will be absent. • An absentee slip will be sent home to be completed when your child returns or can be printed from the school webpage *Absentee slips must be returned within three days or your child will be marked unexcused! Absences

  4. Standard size school bag to help stay organized *Home folder • Paint shirt with name labeled clearly • Items from the supply list are greatly appreciated! Please understand that these supplies will be for community use and cannot be returned at the end of the year. • We also have a “class wish list” if you would like to donate any items for us!   5. Please send a healthy, easy-to-open snack with your child every Monday through Thursday (pretzels, crackers, fruit, etc.). • Feel free to send a drink, but we also have a water fountain as an alternative. • On Fridays, we will celebrate with a “letter of the week” snack for the whole class from the “Star of the Week!” Snack Time!

  6. Play clothes and sneakers are the best for school! • Flip flops are not allowed on the mulch and we often play on the small playground. School Clothes

  7. Please let me know a few days in advance if you would like to send a treat to avoid scheduling conflicts, allergies, etc. We love to celebrate! • Please only send party invitations to be handed out if everyone in the class is invited. *A class address/phone list will be coming home soon!   9. District policy requires that classroom volunteers sign a Liability and Indemnity Contract Form. • To be a chaperone on our field trip in the spring, you will also need to obtain Act 34 (State Criminal Record) and Act 151 (Child Abuse) clearances.   10. Please have your child wear his/her bus card for the first two weeks of school as we all get to know each other and our transportation routines. • First day homework: Bring your favorite stuffed animal to school! First Day of School
