LCD LCD (Liquid Crystal Display)- A LCD screen is very thin and flat. It is made up of many numbers of colour and monochrome pixels. They are placed in front of a light source or reflector. It was made to use minimal electricity power. • Advantages: • Less eye strain • Smaller/weighs less • Requires less power • More adjustable Disadvantages: • Dead pixels • expensive
PLASMA • Advantages: • Very wide screen • Produced by very thin material • Each pixel is lit individually so its very bright • Wide viewing angle • Good for watching movies Disadvantages: • High production costs • Very costly to buy • Difficult and costly to make changes • Dependent on placement PLASMA- Plasma is a type of flat panel display and is now commonly used for large TV displays. Many tiny cells are located between two panels of glass that hold an inert mixture of neon and xenon. It is becoming increasing popular in modern cultures.
