  • Systemic Approach to installing Horizontal Alignment Signage (HAS)

  • Install HAS utilizing fluorescent yellow sheeting along the entire corridor where one RD Plan “enhanced” curve is located for consistency and uniformity

  • Target approximately 25% of the state maintained system over the five year implementation schedule

Many of the 2009 MUTCD Compliance Dates have been revised or eliminated, however, the compliance date for Horizontal Alignment Signing remains in place.

  • Review initial corridor submissions from each consultant

  • Meet with the Districts to discuss implementation through the Construction Procurement process (inspection, quality control, etc.)

  • Let construction contract(s) for several corridors to ensure the quality of the end product

  • Adjust the process as necessary for implementation and complete Phase 1 and Phase 2.
