Covalent Bond Video. A covalent bond is the chemical bond formed between two 
atoms when they share electrons in pairs. When atoms come 
near each other, their electrons are attracted towards the 
nucleus of the other atom. If the outside shell is not filled, this 
attraction becomes stonger.

  2. A covalent bond is the chemical bond formed between two 
atoms when they share electrons in pairs. When atoms come 
near each other, their electrons are attracted towards the 
nucleus of the other atom. If the outside shell is not filled, this 
attraction becomes stonger. The electrons are now being shared by both atoms, and 
they both have a full outer shell.
