  8. About Notch • Notch was inspired by other games. • Minecraft Beta was SEXY! • May 13th – Markus Persson creates the “Cave Game”, a basic precursor to Minecraft. The game is heavily inspired by Infinminer an open source game released in March 2009. • May 17th – Minecraft is released on TIGSForums as an experimental develepment Alpha.
