  3. The Church: A Place of Purpose God’s intent was that now, through the church, the manifold wisdom of God should be made known…according to his eternal purpose which he accomplished in Christ Jesus Ephesians 3:10-11

  4. The Purpose of God • Was a Mystery • Not Made Known in other generations • But Now Revealed by the Spirit to God’s Holy Apostles Ephesians 3:5

  5. The Purpose of God • Now the Gospel “This mystery is that through the gospel the Gentiles are heirs together with Israel, members together of one body, and sharers together in the promise in Christ Jesus.” Ephesians 3:6

  6. The Purpose of God’s Church • To Make Known… God – Eph. 3:10 • Through Worship – Loving God • Through Ministry – Loving our Neighbor • Through Evangelism – Sharing our Faith • Through Edification – Growing in Faith

  7. Paul’s Prayer • Be Strengthened with Power Through His Spirit In Your Inner Being • So that Christ may Dwell In Our Hearts Through Faith • Be Rooted & Established in Love Ephesians 3:14-17

  8. Paul’s Prayer • Be Able to Comprehend & Know the Love of Christ With all the Saints How Wide, How Long How High, How Deep • Be Filled to the Measure of all the fullness of God. Ephesians 3:18-19

  9. God’s Power • God is Able • To Do Immeasurably More • Than All We Ask or Imagine • According to His Power • That is at work within us. • To Him be Glory • In the Church • In Christ Jesus • Throughout All Generations, for ever Ephesians 3:20-21
