  2. Habitats EMERGENT LAYER The tallest trees are the emergent, much as 200 feet above the forest ground with trunks that go up to 16 feet around. Most of these trees are broad-leaved, hardwood evergreens. Sunlight is no issue up here. Animals found are birds, monkeys. CANOPY LAYER This is the primary layer of the forest and forms a roof over the two remaining layers. Most canopy trees have smooth, circle leaves that come to a point. It's a confusing layers and layers of leaves and branches. Many animals live in this area since there is not a problem there. Those animals include snakes, and tree frogs. UNDERSTORY LAYER Not a lot of sunshine reaches this area so the plants have to grow larger leaves to reach the heat of the sun. The plants in this area plants rarely grow to 12 feet. Many animals live here including jaguars, and leopards. There is a large population of insects here. It's very dark down here. Almost no plants grow in this area, as a result. Since hardly any sun reaches the forest floor things begin to decay quickly. A leaf that might take one year to decompose in a regular climate will disappear in 6 weeks. Giant anteaters live in this layer. FOREST FLOOR It's very dark down here. Almost no plants grow in this area, as. Since not a lot of sun shines on the forest floor things begin to break down quickly. A leaf that might take one year to disintegrate in a regular climate will disappear in 6 weeks.

  3. Plants in the Rainforest Bambusa The Bambusa tulda can be found in the South east Asian rainforest. It often grows as an underground or in patches in the forest. It does very well in a moist environment with a lot of rainfall. It likes temperatures between 40 degrees Fahrenheit and 100 degrees Fahrenheit. Rainforests get around 100 inches of rain per year. Rainforests are found mainly around the equator.

  4. Python snake eats Bambusa tulda The Python eats the Bambusa Tulda that is located mostly in the Northeast Rainforest. When the Python eats the Bambusa it doesn't take long to degust the Bambusa. Every time it goes by a Bambusa it stores some of it in its mouth. A pythons can rap its whole body around a person and slowly crush the persons bones and kill it instantly. A Python can hold up to 2 full grown bodies in side of its stomach. Snake
