  2. A rainforest is the earths oldest living ecosystems. Can be described as a tall dense jungle.

  3. Central America, the Amazon, Africa, Southern Asia, and Australasia

A tropical greenhous • A few of many reasons we need rainforests are… • The plants in the rainforest generate a lot of the earths oxygen. • The plants in the rainforest remove carbon dioxide and store it in their roots, stems, leaves, and branches. • By turning C02 into clean air rainforests help fight pollution.

  5. Endangered Rainforests • As the human population increase more and more room is needed so rainforests are bulldozed and burnt down for room for houses, farms, roads, etc.. • Some poor countries have found a way to make quick money by selling rainforest trees for lumber.

  6. Humans have altered their natural habitat because of clearing of the land for farming and logging.

  7. New conservations policy must be built on the principal of sustainable use is development of rainforest

  8. The bark of this tree produces quinine the cure for malaria

  9. A vine extract used by indigenous peoples to poison arrows and darts. Is used as a muscle relaxant during surgery.

  10. Is a secretions of an Amazonian frog. Is used to treat strokes, seizures, depression, and alzheimers disease.
