Perry Died in 1929. • Jarman Davis • Born in Lenoir County, NC. In 1824 • Married Mary Stanley. No Date. • There is no date of death for Davis or Stanley.

  3. Great-Great Grandfathers/Grandmothers • Robert Lee Shelton • Born in Stafford County, Va. In 1861 • Married Virginia Bowie. No date • Died in 1899. Bowie died in 1905 • John Davis • Born in Swansboro, NC. No date. • Married Penny Boyett. No date. • There is no date of death for Davis and Boyett.

Shelton served in the 30th Virginia Infantry. Davis served in the 27th North Carolina Infantry. Davis surrendered with the Army of Northern Virginia on April 9th, 1865 at Appomattox Courthouse. • Prior to my parents’ generation, none of the members of my family attended college. • The main profession through both sides of my family was farming.
